What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a pet?

Pets have become a common sight in many households. Dogs and cats are the most common pets in Malaysia. There are many advantages and disadvantages of owning a pet. Pets play an important role as companion to its owner. Dogs and cats are considered very close to humans. It has been domesticated for thousand of years. Dogs have an acute sense of smell. It can recognize the smell of its owner. Dog need lots of exercise to keep them fit and healthy, most owners allocate time to walk or jog with them. This not only can take care their dogs. The owner also can have a close contact with their dog and do exercise to keep fit.

Dogs are also kept to provide security for the home front against intruders and robbers. Some country training dogs to help them to strike the criminal case.

The disadvantages of having pets relate to responsibility of caring for them. The owner must choose the food to feeding their pet to keep them have a healthy body and keep cleaning their pet's house. Some owner did not bring their pet to have a medical treatment when they are sick. Some of them lazy to bring their pet to do body check. All of this will affect their pet health and the pet may died.193

Hence, there are more advantages than disadvantages of owning a pet.

  1. There are a number of advantages of owing a pet and I am a proud owner of 3 dogs and 2 cats. We can count a number of advantages and disadvantages of owing a pet but I just love them that is what actually matter for me.
